The Sea of Tombstones is set up 6 times per year, for a total of 20 days
collaboration
It's a collaborative effort of Viet Nam Vets Against the War, Veterans For Peace of
South Jersey, and Vets of all eras, who all belong to Delaware Valley Veterans For America
Memorializing 3,860 KIA
A Sea of Tombstones, at Philly's Liberty Bell, memorializes the 3,860 KIA of our War
in Iraq.  Our "Cost of War" Display takes up nearly 3 acres on Fed land between the
Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, & the Constitution Center, attracting 10's of Thousands of
visitors, from around our Nation, and the world.

Parents adorn the faux Tombstone with flowers, flags, and hand written messages,
gaining a modicum of closure.  We play "Taps", and keep the mood solemn and hallowed.
